The Paths Of Amity

roadfork

The paths are destined to meet

And they do when we most desire,

But some paths aren’t meant to mingle

They diverge when consequences are dire.

So a part of my mind ponders

Asks whether our paths will intertwine and coalesce,

Or repel far away from one another

I linger on the possibilities that I do not like to assess.

Friends are supposed to be real, not ideal

But idealism is what I’ve pursued since dawn,

I guess I’ll have to accept our fate as the paths lead

Or try to change them and follow yours as it goes on.

I will have to accept

Following isn’t an option,

Even if our friendship has flaws,

It can sustain longer with some caution.

Your selfishness has me agitated

My stubbornness is boiling rage in our burlesque,

Our paper of alliance is torn from many angles

But there are more experiences to write on my desk.

I’ve decided that I’ll enjoy your company

Until the paths fork out and get parted by some river,

I’ll be ready when the barrier of separation arrives

Because my path has more to encounter and discover.

Your site is easy to navigate, which is a good thing. I like your theme, your logo (?) and your site title.

You expressed the confusing nature of contradictions quite well.

Nice post! I liked the canvas of this poem.

    A tip, if I may….

You might try cutting down a few words here and there. Especially conjunctions and the like. I’m sure that a few tweaks could make this even better. ✌️

    Happy blogging! πŸ™‚
