Dark black locks stream on her face
As she stares at the vast skies that lay ahead
Waves dance in a sluggish pace
And the branches curl above her head.
A shooting star carries her dreams
To the world of her fantasies
A surreal world in which she gleams
And before her, bow the seven seas.
Falcons pierce the sky
The moon stares with curious eyes
Along with the wind, leaves fly
It is a world of beautiful lies.
She is snapped back by her own conscience, chiding her that fantasy is a bane
Yet she dares to dream, dares to escape the dull and mundane.
I know that I’ve not been active lately, which is terrible because I’d actually resolved to maintain my blog by posting weekly but well, vacations have started and I’m sure I’ll be more serious about it now. I didn’t really feel like writing a poem today so don’t mind if it wan’t upto the mark. Also, I wanted to know what you might have named the painting. So if you think you have a nice title for it, please comment it down below. In case you didn’t notice, I completed this painting, the original piece is featured in My 1st Canvas Painting!! If you have any suggestions regarding the poem or the painting then please comment it down below. Any kind of feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for reading!
